A RESOLUTION transferring $16,500.00 within the 2015 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and awarding a contract to Data Driven Consulting, LLC, of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of project consulting services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $24,500.00, as a sole source purchase.

Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office is in need of consulting services to evaluate the alignment of its office units as part of its crime reduction programs and to provide a detailed and academic evaluation of the Teens in Transition Program; and,
WHEREAS, section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of project consulting services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, to Data Driven Consulting, LLC, of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $24,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids for these services, for the reason that Data Driven Consulting is the only company in the area with the extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of focused deterrence; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place funds needed for this contract in the appropriate spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2015 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
