Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4662, dated September 15, 2014, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $160,255.00 from the Missouri Department of Transportation for the Sheriff’s Office’s DWI Traffic Safety Unit Salary Grant, for the period October 1, 2014, through September 30, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Transportation has authorized an amendment to the budget for the grant award to allow $12,850.00 of grant funds to be used for an additional uniform allowance and pension funds, at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary in order to place these funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2015 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
