Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18791 dated April 13, 2015, the Legislature did authorize a payment to the Kansas City Pythons Planet Rock Drill Team competition, a local non-profit organization with a long history of support at COMBAT events; and,
WHEREAS, due to an administrative error, the recommended account code originally submitted for this sponsorship was incorrect and needs to be rectified; and,
WHEREAS, this sponsorship should have been designated to the advertising budget account code; and,
WHEREAS, approval of said sponsorship for the Kansas City Pythons Planet Rock Drill Team competition is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to the Kansas City Pythons Drill Team, in the amount of $500.00 for sponsorship of the Planet Rock Drill Team competition; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 18791, dated April 13, 2015, be and hereby is rescinded.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
