Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4636, dated July 28, 2014, the Legislature adopted an amendment to chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code, related to minority and women-owned business enterprises, with an effective date of February 1, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4695, dated November 24, 2014, the Legislature adopted an additional amendment to chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code, related to veteran-owned business enterprises; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18692, dated December 15, 2014, the Legislature did award a contract on Request for Qualifications No. 78-14 to Strategic Workplace Solutions of Belton, MO, for the furnishing of consulting services related to the implementation of minority and women-owned business enterprises, at an initial cost to the County of $43,315.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Compliance Review Office desires to increase the scope of the Agreement with Strategic Workplace Solutions to include services to implement the veterans-owned business enterprises program, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $6,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, execution of a First Addendum to Consulting Agreement with Strategic Workplace Solutions, is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County an Addendum to the Consulting Agreement with Strategic Workplace Solutions, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
