Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to purchase a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban from the U.S. Marshals to add to its fleet of emergency vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.2 Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends this purchase as an acquisition from another government, at an actual cost to the County of $1,035.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to use Federal Forfeiture Funds to fund the cost of this vehicle and to acquire security cameras, equipment, and in-car computers via existing term and supply contracts; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place funds available in the Federal Forfeiture Fund in the proper spending accounts for these purchases; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2015 Federal Forfeiture Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchases be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
