AN ORDINANCE transferring $51,112.00 within and appropriating $90,903.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2014 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund in acceptance of additional funding for the "Sentenced to the Arts" grant received from the Missouri Department of Public Safety, and authorizing the County Executive to execute an extension to the Cooperative Agreements with Arts Tech of Kansas City, MO, and Deana Bellamaganya of Kansas City, MO, for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's Sentenced to the Arts program, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $142,015.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4588, dated November 13, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the Sentenced to the Arts grant for the period of October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has now authorized a nine-month extension and additional funding for the Sentenced to the Arts Grant, in the amount of $90,903.31, to be used to fund a portion of the Prosecuting Attorney's Sentenced to the Arts program, for the period of October 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the grant requires matching funds in the amount of $51,112.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Sentenced to the Arts program provides expressive therapy programs and services to adjudicated youth; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office recommends Addenda to the Cooperative Agreements with Arts Tech of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, in the additional amount of $102,234.88, which will provide oversight and implementation of the program and Deana Bellamaganya of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, in the additional amount of $39,780.00, who will manage and direct the program; and,
