Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4481, dated November 19, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2012 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $208,000.00, received from the U. S. Department of Justice for the period of October 1, 2011, through September 30, 2015; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 18654, dated November 24, 2014, the Legislature did authorize a transfer of funds to support the salary for the creation of a new staff position within the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to be funded by this grant; and,

WHEREAS, Resolution 18654 also authorized the execution of an amendment to the grant award received from the U.S. Department of Justice for the reclassification of a staff position title from Crime Initiative Manager to Data Information Analyst; and,

WHEREAS, staff have now determined that the transfer of funds within the 2014 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund were not needed for this position; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute an amendment to the grant award and all documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Resolution and Resolution 18654; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Resolution 18654, dated November 4, 2014, related to a transfer of funds within the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund, be and hereby is rescinded.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
