Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for a highly-qualified consultant for the furnishing of advice, research, and monitoring of legislative trends related to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion and reform; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing solicited bids on Request for Proposals No. 69-14 for the furnishing of these services; and,
WHEREAS, the Director distributed six notifications and received two responses thereon, as follows:

Pilot Healthcare Strategies $85,000.00
Camino, CA
and,
WHEREAS, the proposals submitted were evaluated on the basis of responsiveness to the scope of services, qualifications, experience, and pricing; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the proposal, representatives of the County Executive's Office have recommended the award of a contract for these services to Brittany Burke d/b/a Tactas of St. Louis, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve-month contract with three twelve-month options to extend to Brittany Burke Strategies d/b/a Tactas, at an annual cost to the County not to exceed $75,000.00 and at an actual cost for 2014 in the amount of ...
