INTRODUCED BY Bob Spence, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, Lilly Westphal, a 14-year-old incoming freshman at Lee's Summit High School, won the AAU Level 6 Senior B National Gymnastics Championship held June 13, 2014, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL; and,

WHEREAS, Lilly's achievement at the gymnastics championship is even more impressive since the accomplishment came with only one day of practice in the month prior to the national meet, due to a bout of strep throat; and,

WHEREAS, Lilly previously won a regional qualifier on May 3, 2014, with an all-around score of 37.6; and,

WHEREAS, Lilly has decided that this will be her final year of gymnastics competition with plans to focus on marching band and her passion for art when she begins her freshman year of high school; and,

WHEREAS, Lilly is known in her family as a creative, active child with a smile that lights up a room; and,

WHEREAS, Lilly's parents Ralph and Debbie Westphal, and her sister Hannah, are justifiably proud of Lilly's accomplishments; now therefore,
