Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18365, dated January 13, 2014, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement, in the amount of $10,000.00, with the Salvation Army Linwood Center Supportive Housing Program, for homelessness assistance through the Housing Resources Commission (HRC); and,
WHEREAS, the Salvation Army Linwood Center submitted a request to the HRC to utilize its $10,000.00 grant with services provided within the first two quarters of 2014 because of a delay in funding provided to the Salvation Army through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and,
WHEREAS, the HRC voted at its meeting June 19, 2014, to recommend this revision to the Salvation Army's Cooperative Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement is a suitable mechanism to memorialize the budget revisions; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with the Salvation Army Linwood Center Supportive Housing Program, at no additional cost to the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
