Body
WHEREAS, the Legislative Auditor has submitted a request for the creation of a video production provided by Carter-Rice Communications, documenting and celebrating the 40-year history of the Jackson County Legislature, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this video production will include archival and original photography depicting key events, personalities, and public landmarks with voice-over narration incorporating quotes from key Jackson County officials and civic leaders; and,
WHEREAS, this production will be completed by November 2014; and,
WHEREAS, execution of an Agreement with Carter-Rice Communication, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, is in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement with Carter-Rice Communications for the furnishing of a video production on the history of the Jackson County Legislature, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
