Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18474, dated April 14, 2014, the Legislature did authorize a term and supply contract with Lifestyle Leasing for the furnishing of used vehicles for use County-wide; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has a need for used vehicles and desires to use federal forfeiture funds for this purchase through the County's term and supply contract; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Treasury Department has authorized the use of these funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the required funds in the appropriate spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of 2014 Federal Forfeiture Fund be and hereby is made:
