WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts, Inc., a local small business founded by Debbie O'Donohue on March 3, 1984, is celebrating its 30th anniversary; and,
WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts began as a trophy business in Debbie's parents' basement; and,
WHEREAS, the business rapidly expanded within three months to offer screen-printed apparel and custom-made awards; and,
WHEREAS, in 1986, Awards & T-Shirts Specialists signed its first union contract, becoming the first female-owned and operated contractor in the Greater Kansas City Building and Construction Trades Council; and,
WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts has continued to expand its high-quality American and union-made products, providing outstanding service and creative image designs for the past 30 years; and,
WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts Specialist, Inc., is the premier provider of American made and union-decorated promotional products in the United States, serving customers in all 50 states and Canada with 100 percent satisfaction; and,
WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts' impressive record of delivering proven results has elevated the company to become a national leader in the promotional marketing industry; and,
WHEREAS, Awards & T-Shirts' 30 years of success is directly attributable to its owner and founder, Debbie O'Donohue, and her energy and dedication to her staff and business; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Debbie O'Donohue and Awards & T-Shirts Specialist, Inc., on its 30th Anniversary celebration and extends best wishes in the future.
