AN ORDINANCE transferring $14,192.00 within the 2013 General Fund and appropriating $88,653.00 from the fund balance of the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund in acceptance of a grant received from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's Victim Services Program.

Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney=s Office has been awarded a grant in the amount of $74,460.51 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the Office=s Victim Services Program for the period October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will cover partial funding for the salary, benefits, and training costs for a Victim Advocate; and,
WHEREAS, a match of $18,615.14 is required for this grant; and,
WHEREAS, in order to perform the program, the Prosecuting Attorney=s Office requires an additional $1,574.00, to be sourced from its 2013 budget; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the General Fund and appropriation within the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and are hereby made:
