Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has received a Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the State of Missouri Department of Public Safety in the amount of $97,552.00; and,
WHEREAS, the grant proceeds will be used to partially fund one criminalist forensic chemist, one full-time detective, and the lease of four vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $17,215.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation within the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby are made:
