Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Corrections is in need of private security services at the vacant McCune Home property located at 21001 U.S. 24 Highway, Independence, MO; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 55-13 for the furnishing of security services for use by the Department of Corrections; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twelve notifications were distributed and nine responses were received, the lowest three of which are as follows:
BIDDER PRICE PER HOUR

Securitas Security Services
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $12.90

Whelan Security
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $14.75

National Alliance
Dayton, OH $15.49

and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to Securitas Security Services of Kansas City, MO as the lowest and best bid; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made as recommended and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the issuing spending agency are contained in the then current Jac...
