Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney=s Office has been awarded a grant in the amount of $124,536.80 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the office=s Victim Services Program for the period July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will cover partial funding for the salary, benefits, and training costs for two victim advocates; and,
WHEREAS, a match of $60,369.11 is required for this grant; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within and appropriation from the fund balance of the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and are hereby made:
