Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18055, dated January 7, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement, in the amount of $3,500.00, with the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission for the Buck O'Neil Negro Leagues Baseball Clinic and Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the original budget presented by the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission due to scheduling problems and changes to the format of the event; and,
WHEREAS, under the revised budget, $3,500.00 will be reallocated from umpire fees and field maintenance to marketing and clinicians to support two baseball clinics in lieu of a tournament; and,
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement is a suitable mechanism to memorialize the budget revisions; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission, at no additional cost to the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and Addendum thereto.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
