Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4463, dated October 9, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with Jennifer Osborne to serve as the coordinator of the re-entry portion of the Sentenced to the Arts Program for the period of October 1, 2012, through September 30, 2013, at a cost to the County not to exceed $15,600.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Osborne has recently announced her resignation from this position; and
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now recommends the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with Amanda C. Hashagen of Independence, MO, for a term of April 1, 2013, through September 30, 2013, to replace Ms. Osborne as the re-entry coordinator for the Sentenced to the Arts Program, at a cost to the County not to exceed, $9,325.00; and,
WHEREAS, this Agreement is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Agreement with Jennifer Osborne, authorized by Ordinance 4463, is hereby terminated, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, MO, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Amanda C. Hashagen of Independence, MO, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $9,325.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
