Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department requires third party water resource mitigation services for its Improvements to Lee's Summit Road, Anderson Drive to U.S. 40 Highway Project, No. 3122; and,

WHEREAS, these services will provide compensation for impacts to 1.24 acres of emergent wetland and 2,565 linear feet of natural stream; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Request for Proposals No. 25-13 for the furnishing of these services; and,

WHEREAS, a total of fifty-two notifications were distributed and one response was received; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of the contract for the furnishing of a third party water resource mitigation services to Swallow Tail Design Build Inc., of Harrisonville, MO, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 25-13, at a cost not to exceed $316,111.00, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
