AN ORDINANCE appropriating $30,211.00 from the fund balance of the 2013 Grant Fund in interest earned from the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Recovery Grant to provide funding for salaries and benefits of employees of the Jackson County Drug Court.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4164, dated October 26, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the U. S. Department of Justice; and,
WHEREAS, the conditions of the grant required that the City of Kansas City, Missouri, as administrator of the grant, split equally with Jackson County the interest accrued at the end of the grant period; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the interest earned in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
