ORDINANCE NO. 4504, February 11, 2013

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4434, dated August 6, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $292,967.37 for the Juvenile Court Diversion Program, for the period of July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013; and,

WHEREAS, the Division of Youth Services has now awarded additional funds in the amount of $50,000.00 to expand the scope of the Juvenile Court Diversion Program to include a project called Parenting with Love and Limits; and,

WHEREAS, this new program combines parent education and group therapy programs with individual family therapy sessions for adolescents and their parents; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the fund balance of the 2013 Grant Fund:
