Body
WHEREAS, section 1803., Jackson County Code, 1984, relating to the Jackson County Municipal Court establishes the salary of the County Municipal Court judge at $38,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Municipal Court has incurred an increased caseload over the past two years and has collected over one million dollars in revenue each of those years; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance 4502, dated February 11, 2013, now under consideration by the Legislature will enact an increase in this code section, in the amount of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to give effect to this code change and to place the necessary funds in the appropriate spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
