Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17808, Resolution 17809, and Resolution 17810, dated January 30, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies which engage in anti-drug prevention and treatment activities and purposes, through December 31, 2012; and,

WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to extend for an additional four months, through April 30, 2013, the existing agreements of the outside agencies listed below, engaged in prevention and treatment anti-drug initiatives, at no additional cost to the County:
AGENCY
Ad Hoc Group Against Crime
Connections to Success
First Call (Violence Prevention)
Kansas City Youth Court
ReStart, Inc.
Comprehensive Mental Health Services
Salvation Army (MOSOS)
Sanuel U. Rodgers Health Center
Kansas City Public School District

and,


WHEREAS, the recommended extension will allow these agencies to utilize the allocation provided to them in 2012, but which they have encountered delays in spending; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute extensions to the agreements with the outside agencies listed above, until April 30, 2013, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.
