Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids pursuant to Request for Proposals No. 93-12 for certified laboratory urinalysis testing for use by the Prosecuting Attorney=s Office and the Office of Population Control; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twelve notifications were distributed and five responses were received with the top four bidders evaluated as follows:

WHEREAS, an evaluation committee made up of representatives from the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, the bidders were evaluated on responsiveness to the RFP, method of performance, experience, qualification, references, and pricing; and,


WHEREAS, the Director recommends award to Health Productivity Systems of Kansas City, MO, which, while not the lowest bidder, submitted the lowest and best bid as determined by the evaluation committee; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
