Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4419, dated June 11, 2012, the Legislature did approve the acceptance of the $20,000.00 grant awarded to the Sheriff's Office by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, On Call Work Zone Enforcement program, for a five year period extending until 2016; and,

WHEREAS, the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission now desires to amend the duration period of the grant award, making the new award period from July 1, 2012, to December 31, 2013; and,

WHEREAS, this grant required no matching funds and the amendment will have no effect on the amount of grant funds awarded; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached amendment to the Program Agreement with Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sheriff and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Resolution.

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
