A RESOLUTION awarding a twenty-four month term and supply contract with two twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of ammunition for use by various County departments to Gulf States Distributors of Montgomery, Al, Sunset Law Enforcement of Ackley, IA, Simmons Gun Specialties of Spring Hill, KS, and GT Distributors of Austin, TX, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 39-12.

Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids for the furnishing of ammunition for use by the Sheriff's Office, the Department of Corrections, the Drug Task Force, and Park Safety and Enforcement; and,
WHEREAS, a total of fourteen notifications were distributed and seven responses were received; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the responsive bids received, the Director has recommended that the contract be split and awarded to the bidders submitting the lowest and best bids for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in awards to the following bidders:

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
