Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16830, dated February 17, 2009, the Legislature did award a thirty-six month term and supply contract for the furnishing of golf carts for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to M & M Golf Cars of Lee's Summit, MO, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 50-08.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is requesting the extension of that contract through December 31, 2012, to allow the County to issue a new Invitation to Bid during the off-season and to prevent the disruption of service during the peak summer and fall golf season; and,
WHEREAS, M & M Golf Cars has agreed to reduce the monthly rental fee during the seven-month extension from $4,922.70 to $4,528.99 per month; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that contract with M & M Golf Cars be extended through the December 31, 2012, as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.\par
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
