Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17778, dated January 9, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement for public health purposes provided by certain outside agencies, at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,888,696.00; and,
WHEREAS, one agency should have been listed as Calvary Community Outreach Network, but was inadvertently identified as Calvary Temple because both organizations use the same address; and,
WHEREAS, the agency desires to keep the efforts of the two entities separate, which requires this corrective action; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Calvary Community Outreach Network, for the furnishing of a comprehensive fitness and nutrition program, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Resolution 17778, dated January 9, 2012, related to authorizing an agreement with Calvary Temple at a cost not to exceed $30,000.00 is hereby rescinded.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
