WHEREAS, by Resolution 17575, dated April 18, 2011, the Legislature did authorize a Consulting Agreement with Tusa Consulting Services of Covington, LA, for a radio system study and conceptual design to assist the County in the Federal Communications Commission mandate to convert its public radio system from a wideband analog system to a narrowband system; and,
WHEREAS, Tusa was selected for this project as a sole source because of its unique knowledge and experience in dealing the with FCC conversion issue, particularly the issues presented in the Kansas City area; and,
WHEREAS, Tusa has completed the needs assessment and conceptual design phases of the project, and is now ready to assist the County with evaluating vendor proposals and supervising the system construction; and,
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends an Addendum to the Consulting Agreement with Tusa Consulting Services for this implementation phase of the project, at a cost to the County not to exceed $102,600.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County an Addendum to the Consulting Agreement with Tusa Consulting Services, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $102,600.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final ...
