IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding twenty-four month term and supply contracts with three twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of uniforms for use by the Department of Corrections to Alamar Uniforms of North Kansas City, MO, Galls, Inc., of Lexington, KY, and The Armory of Kearney, MO, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 70-11.

Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 70-11, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids for the furnishing of uniforms for use by the Department of Corrections; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-five notifications were distributed and three responses were received; and,
WHEREAS, the Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the bidders submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award be recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:

Alamar Uniforms 1-39, 42-49, 51-73, and 75
North Kansas City, MO
Galls, Inc. 40, 41, 60, and 74
Lexington, KY
The Armory 50
Kearney, MO
and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
