Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 17476, dated January 24, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement with Housing Services of Kansas City as a grant match to conduct drug prevention classes for its YouthBuild student's program, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, in working with Housing Services, the COMBAT staff has determined that it would be more beneficial for students to use an existing COMBAT agency that currently provides prevention and treatment services and has familiarity with the target population; and,


WHEREAS, Housing Services interviewed agencies and selected the Niles Home for Children to provide these services; and,

WHEREAS, Housing Services and COMBAT agreed to reduce the Housing Services contract by $12,000.00 and use these funds for the agreement with Niles Home for Children; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
