Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 205.630, RSMo, the County is required to cover the burial expense of individuals who die within the County and have no means of paying a burial expense; and,
WHEREAS, due to the insolvency of the County's contracted indigent burial provider, a transfer is necessary to cover the cost of indigent burial fees through the remainder of 2011 that have unexpectedly exceeded budgetary projections; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2011 Health Fund be and hereby is made:
