INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has received an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $61,215.00; and,

WHEREAS, the grant proceeds will be used to fund detectives' overtime and benefits and the partial cost of the lease of four vehicles for undercover operations; and,

WHEREAS, the grant is awarded through the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the period of July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
