Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17495, dated February 7, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA), and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) to study transit alternatives along commuter corridors, at a cost to the County of $315,000.00.
WHEREAS, an addendum to the MOU is now necessary to fund an environmental impact study of the corridors and related issues, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $1,000,000.00.
WHEREAS, this study is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the KCATA, and MARC in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Memorandum of Understanding and the Addendum.
Fiscal Note
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
