Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 7-11 for the rental of heavy construction equipment for use by the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming twenty-four month period; and,

WHEREAS, a total of fifteen notifications were distributed and four responses were received from the following bidders:

G.W. Van Keppel
Kansas City, KS

Murphy Tractor
Kansas City, MO

Victor L. Phillips
Kansas City, MO

Dean Machinery
Kansas City, MO
and,


WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors who have submitted the lowest rate for each item of equipment; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
