Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office recommends an agreement with the Missouri Sheriff's Association to provide Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) in-service training for the Sheriff's Office to meet POST certification requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the funds to be utilized for this training are the County's share of court costs and have been provided by the Missouri Department of Public Safety POST Commission; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the Missouri Sheriff's Association; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
