Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17474, dated January 24, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with the Independence Youth Court in the amount of $72,750.00, and the Eastern Jackson County Youth Court, in the amount of $54,000.00, to provide for anti-drug prevention activities and purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Eastern Jackson County Youth Court has requested that these agreements be amended to increase funding to the Independence Youth Court by $1,852.00 to a total amount of $74,602.00, to pay for educational programs for juvenile offenders; and,
WHEREAS, as part of this proposal the Executive Director requests the additional funds for Independence Youth Court come out of the funding for the Eastern Jackson County Youth Court, reducing its agreement to $52,148.00; and,
WHEREAS, these amendments are in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute amendments to the agreements with the Independence Youth Court and the Eastern Jackson County Youth Courts, at no additional cost to the County in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements, as amended.
