Body
WHEREAS, the Director Finance and Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a term and supply contract, for the furnishing of temporary personnel for use County-wide to Penmac Personnel Services of Lee's Summit, MO, for the upcoming twelve-month period, with four twelve-month options for extension, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. EV1115; and,
 
WHEREAS, Section 1064., Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such award or agreement in excess of $25,000.00, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the proposed action to the County Legislature for approval; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award under the terms and conditions of RFP No. EV1115 be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary, including the subsequent options for extension, to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
 
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount.  The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
