Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 32-10 for the furnishing of property insurance for use by the Finance Department; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-one (21) solicitations were distributed and two responses were received, as follows:
BIDDER ANNUAL PREMIUM DEDUCTIBLE

Lockton Companies $341,500 $150,000
Broker for Travelers Indemnity Co.
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Lockton Companies $477,000 $150,000
Broker for Lexington Insurance
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,


WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to Lockton Companies of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, broker for Travelers Indemnity Co., as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made as recommended and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents, including future options to extend, necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
