Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has requested the implementation of an evaluation program to evaluate COMBAT-funded DARE programs; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission and COMBAT staff recommend that bids not be solicited for these services, because of Resource Development Institute's (RDI) unique familiarity with COMBAT, the COMBAT programs logic model, and evaluation designs necessary for evaluating COMBAT-funded programs; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the county a Consulting Agreement with RDI of Kansas City, Missouri, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at a cost to the County not to exceed $21,940.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
