Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4092, dated March 9, 2009, the Legislature did approve the Solving Cold Cases with DNA Grant, received from the U. S. Department of Justice; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17033, dated October 12, 2009, the Legislature did approve an extension of the grant to continue to provide funding for salaries and benefits for the employees assigned to the grant for the period of October 1, 2009, through July 31, 2010, at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the U.S. Department of Justice now desire to extend the grant to continue to provide funding for salaries and benefits for the employees assigned to the grant for the period of August 1, 2010, through November 30, 2010, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension to November 30, 2010, for the Solving Cold Cases with DNA Grant, received from the U. S. Department of Justice, be and hereby is approved.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
