Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County, the City of Kansas City, and the City of Lee's Summit, have all undertaken improvement plans for Lee's Summit Road; and,
WHEREAS, with the increase in use, the new interchange under construction at Strother Road, and the heavier traffic on I-470, an overall plan and coordinated effort should be developed; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Memorandum of Understanding sets forth the overall plan and coordinated effort between the cities and the County to undertake these improvements; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Cities of Kansas City, MO, and Lee's Summit, MO, on behalf of the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
