Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature did, by Resolution 16769, dated December 1, 2008, authorize
a lease with the State of Missouri's Office of Administration for office space located at County-owned facilities at 1305 Locust and 1315 Locust for use by Missouri State Board of Probation and Parole staff; and,

WHEREAS, with relocation of staff to the Corrigan Building 1828 Walnut, Kansas City, Missouri, the property at 1305 Locust is no longer required for use by the Missouri State Board of Probation and Parole; and,


WHEREAS, the State of Missouri's Office of Administration now desires to extend the lease agreement between itself and Jackson County, Missouri, for office space located at County-owned facilities in the Community Justice Center at 1315 Locust for use by Missouri State Board of Probation and Parole staff for an additional six (6) months; and,

WHEREAS, the County will have other uses for the space at 1305 Locust; and,
WHEREAS, the parties both desire to continue the lease of the property located at 1315 Locust, and to discontinue the lease of the property located at 1305 Locust; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding sets forth acceptable terms and the means of payment for the amended lease; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Missouri, in a form substantially similar to that attached, to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
