AN ORDINANCE appropriating $42,250.00 from the fund balance of the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute addenda to the Cooperative Agreements with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, ReDiscover, Inc., and Rose Brooks Center, Inc., at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $42,250.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4085, dated February 2, 2009, the County Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies for anti-drug prevention activities and purposes, which included Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, ReDiscover, Inc., and Rose Brooks Center, Inc; and,
WHEREAS, a calculation error occurred in determining the 2009 funding level for these organizations; and,
WHEREAS, COMBAT staff recommends the approval of addenda to the cooperative agreements with these agencies to ensure that all prevention agencies received equal reductions to their 2008 funding levels; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to cover these costs; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
