A RESOLUTION awarding a contract for the furnishing of golf course renovation services for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Mid-America Golf and Landscape, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 11-08, at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,333,390.70, and authorizing a 5% contingency not to exceed $65,000.00, for a total amount not to exceed $1,398,390.70.

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 11-08, for the furnishing of golf course renovation services for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-two (22) solicitations were distributed and five (5) responses were received as follows:

Duinick Brothers Inc., Prinsburg, MN $1,484,214.50
Ryan Inc. Central, Janesville, WI $1,514,781.75

SEMA Golf, Centennial, CO $2,138,322.00
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that award be made to Mid-America Golf and Landscape, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing further recommends a 5% contingency to cover any additional circumstances that may arise, at a cost to the County not to exceed $65,000.00, for a total amount not to exceed $1,398,390.70; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement for the furnishing of golf course renovation services with Mid-America Golf and Landscape, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,333,390.70, w...
