WHEREAS, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 26-07, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids for the furnishing of locksmith services for use countywide; and,

WHEREAS, a total of eight (8) solicitations were distributed and two (2) responsive bids were received as follows:

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four (24) month term and supply contract with two (2) twelve-month extension options to Kenton Brothers, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, and Ace Lock & Key Service of Independence, MO, as the lowest and best bidders; and,
WHEREAS, a split award is requested to give the County flexibility to obtain needed items and services at the lowest prices and to avoid out-of-inventory situations; and

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as-needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the ac...
