WHEREAS, the County has a need for a right-of-way, permanent drainage easements, and a temporary construction easement in connection with the Woods Chapel Road Improvements Project, No. 2293; and,
WHEREAS, the owner of the necessary property, Property Reserve, Inc., has agreed to convey to the County the requested right-of-way and easements, copies of which are attached hereto, for payment of the sum of $223,845.00, as itemized below;

$ 884 Permanent Drainage Easement A
$ 370 Permanent Drainage Easement B
$ 24,515 Temporary Construction Easement
$223,845 TOTAL
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Works recommends acceptance of the right-of-way and easements upon the specified terms; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached right-of-way and easements, be and hereby are accepted and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is directed to issue a lump sum payment in the amount of $223,845.00 to Property Reserve, Inc., in consideration for said right-of-way and easements, pursuant to the specific direction of the Director of the Department of Public Works; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all other documents necessary to the accomplishment of this transaction.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
