Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 15687, dated November 7, 2005, enter into a contract with U. S. Engineering Kansas City, MO, in the amount of $2,977,902.00 with an authorization for change orders in an additional amount up to $297,790.00, for the furnishing of HVAC renovations at various County locations, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 30-05; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, dated September 18, 2006, reduced the original contract amount by $305,251.00 for work that was deemed unnecessary at that time; and,
WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 2 is necessary to cover work previously removed by Change Order No. 1 and additional necessary work; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 2 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
