A RESOLUTION congratulating Ashley Nolan upon winning the title of Miss Missouri American Coed Jr. Teen and recognizing her strong finish in the National American Miss pageant where she placed as 4th runner-up among over 200 competitors.

Body
WHEREAS, Ashley Nolan is the reigning Miss Missouri American Coed Jr. Teen and was the youngest member of the Top 5 Queen Court in the Jr. Teen division of the National American Miss Pageant; and,
WHEREAS, Ashley received a second place award in the speech competition in the Miss Missouri American Coed Jr. Teen pageant; and,
WHEREAS, in the Jr. Teen division of the National American Miss Pageant, Ashley received a first runner-up award for Most Promising Model and a first runner-up award for Best Resume, with recognition for her commitment to the community in youth activities; and,
WHEREAS, Ashley is the daughter of John and Brenda Nolan and big sister to William Nolan; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the 2 fast and 2 furious team, Ashley was the youngest competitor in the first annual Rose Brooks all women's triathlon where she and her teammate, Jodie Roemer, placed second overall; and,
WHEREAS, Ashley is a competitive swimmer with a AAA Division 1 level ranking, a member of the Summit Lakes Middle School track team, and an active member of the Lee's Summit Christian Community Church youth group; and,
WHEREAS, Ashley is a champion and frequent spokesperson for the promotion of the adoption of older children and an effective voice for problems in the foster care system and child abuse issues; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Ashley Nolan on her designation as the Miss Missouri American Coed Jr. Teen, commends her for her commitment and dedicatio...
